About

Pick’n Run provides tools to allow runners to cleanup trash in the neighborhoods where they run.  This is done through web and mobile applications, products (e.g. backups, gloves, bags), and friendly competitions and activities.  The applications, competitions, and activities are designed to motivate people to get in the habit of picking up the trash they see on their runs, or at least document where the trash is located so that others can pick up the trash.  The hardware products make it easier for them to pick up the trash.

The main goals of Pick’n Run are to:

  1. Clean up human-made trash in local environments
  2. Increase the number of people who exercise
  3. Increase the number of people who experience the outdoors, while being in their local environment

We aim to accomplish these goals by providing fun and competitive ways for people to pick up trash while running (or walking).
